Update

We have been actively developing our services and working partnerships, building our professional networks while providing quality assessments, consultations and training. Alongside which, we have been providing blogs to support awareness raising and application of the Mental Capacity Act (2005) in everyday practice.

To share an example of a few of our consultation projects, we have been working with one organisation to aid accessibility and engagement within specific decisions that they regularly assess for Mental Capacity. We developed an easy read, Makaton style, Tenancy Information pack alongside a carefully graded framework for a Makaton style assessment framework to provide a base line to work from for the assessment of Tenancy. Another example, was where we attended a series of homes following training provision to model assessments in practice, then work alongside the team to debrief and write up assessments before developing a toolkit of resources to support.

In addition to this, following training through Bond Solon in 2024, we have started providing Occupational Therapy Expert Witness provisions through Circle Case Management.
